Along the development of the project, we have gained some new knowledges, already exposed along the different sections of the site. Below we are highlighting the main ones:

 

First, we have observed that ink can affect the growing of seeds and also the abailability of the food grown from them for being consumed. This is the reason why we have decided to reuse the waste of newsprint before it has been printed.

 

On one hand, the different trials of making paper pulp have allowed us knowing which quantity of water and pulp is necessary in order to make an specific kind of paper, and which method must be aplied in each of them.

-In order to achieve the thickness and texture of the band we have realised a mixture with a little quantity of water, using a completely flat mesh.

-In order to achieve the thickness and texture of the paper units we realised a mixture with different measurements of the same components, in this case, we have done a mould in which we have introduced the mixture. Also, in order to extract the excess of water, we have put pressure on it using the counter of the original.

On the other hand, once the units have been obtained, we have taken into account different aspects about silk-screen printing. First, it’s proper being applied on a smoother surface than what we had planned an graphic representations can’t contain much details, those facts made us apply some changes into the texture of the paper units surface and rethink competelly the corporate design of the brand.
